Does online security ever feel overwhelming? You get an email from a company saying your data was involved in a data breach. What does that even mean? The news articles aren't helping. They keep giving confusing advice about passwords and encryption. Next thing you know, you're receiving an influx of emails claiming that you urgently need to click the link within. You receive calls from someone claiming to be with Microsoft tech support. Don't you think it's time to take control? It's time to own your security. Join us for a special interactive workshop to learn about how you can take control and feel a little less overwhelmed.

During this workshop we will:

  • Determine what assets are vulnerable to an external threat (think: Your high school journal)

  • Determine what those specific threats are and who is performing them (think: a mischievous sibling reading your journal)

  • Determine the likelihood of someone attempting to exploit that vulnerability (think: a mischievous sibling who knows where your secret hiding spot is)

  • Determine how to protect against those threats (think: a lock on the journal)

  • Determine how to respond to threats we can't protect against (think: a defective lock on the journal. Telling a parent that your sibling read your journal without permission)
