Antoinette moved to Des Moines from Atlanta, GA in 2015 after graduating with her degree in Computer Science from the University of Georgia. She works as a network security analyst at Principal Financial Group and serves as Executive Director of Reboot Iowa, Inc, a non-profit she founded to teach adults about coding and technology. In her spare time she is a Stormchaser dancer for the Iowa Barnstormers Arena Football Team, an instructor and coordinator for Iowa’s first Girls Who Code club, and a member of several groups in the Des Moines area.
Fueled by silliness and coffee Chuck tries to create efficiency in everything he and others do. He absolutely loves technology, and spends a vast majority of my time learning about it or teaching it to others. Recently he made the jump to the consulting world and traded in his Front-end dev skills for the DevOps/Nodejs/Ruby stack.
Tammy Armstrong works in speech analytics at Wellmark and holds an MS in Analytics from North Carolina State University. Prior to moving to Des Moines, Tammy worked in fundraising data management in Portland, Oregon. In her free time, Tammy enjoys playing soccer with her husband, snuggling with their two cats, and writing about everyday analytics on littledatablog.com.
Bailey is from Webster City, Iowa and has an undergraduate degree in Management Information Systems and Spanish from the University of Northern Iowa. She is currently working towards her master's in Human Computer Interaction from Iowa State University. Bailey is in her third year at Principal Financial Group as a User Experience Designer. She is passionate about STEM education and development and is an active member on the Women In Technology cabinet at Principal. She also helped start the first Girls Who Code Club in the Des Moines community and is an active instructor and coordinator within that initiative.
Abby Huisman has worked at Principal Financial Group since 2011 and currently works as an Application Developer. She grew up in Parkersburg, Iowa, received an undergraduate degree in computer science from Drake University, and is currently working on a master’s degree in Human Computer Interaction at Iowa State University.
Hannah Benson has an undergraduate degree in Math and Computer Science from Simpson College and will receive an MBA from the University of Iowa’s Henry B. Tippie School of Management. Hannah is currently in her fourth year with the Principal as an IT Application Analyst Lead. Hannah is very passionate about STEM and education. She volunteers with HyperStream, Tech Journey and at Simpson College to help spread education on STEM and STEM careers.
